What is this qualification?
This award gives the learner an understanding of the application. It provides a facility for apprentices working in the electrotechnical sector to develop and/or enhance their knowledge on the assessment of occupational competence.
What are the pre-requisites?
There are no formal entry requirements for the qualifications. However, learners must have the potential to achieve all aspects of the qualification. In particular, learners should be able to demonstrate that they have the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy required for the completion of the learning outcomes and the assessment.
Who is this qualification for?
The AM2S should be taken by electrotechnical apprentices who are training against the Apprenticeship Standard.
Apprentices who are enrolled onto the Apprenticeship Framework, or those on the Level 3 NVQ or the JIB Mature Candidate Assessment should undertake the AM2 assessment.
